Pilates and Barre instructor with over 28yrs of experience in the dance and fitness industries

I began my career as a dancer and performed professionally for 10 years. My favourite styles are ballet, commercial jazz and hip hop.  I am also a trained singer. I started my dance training as a child, with ballet and many contemporary dance styles. I knew from a very young age that dance, singing and music would be part of my life forever.

While I was working as a dancer and singer, I got qualified as a group fitness instructor in November 1992. In this time I have successfully started and run 2 fitness companies with my current fitness company Bronte Dance and Fitness Pty Ltd EST 2010.

It always felt like a natural transition between fitness and dance. Both of these qualifications have greatly enhanced the other and for 28 years, I’ve been able to combine my strong dance training into my classes such as Zumba, Pilates and Barre. I currently teach a large range of Dance classes as well as Zumba, Pilates, Barre, Reformer Pilates and Personal training.

I continue to keep educated in both fitness and dance by taking regular courses to enhance my skills and abilities.

I absolutely love my career and I would love to see you in a class soon.

LINDA SPECIALISES IN

ZUMBA

A fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves.  Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve cardiovascular fitness.
This is a fun dance class for all levels of fitness.

FREESTYLE DANCE

Latin Urban is a mix of Reggaeton and Hip Hop, combined with other genres like Latin Pop, Dancehall and Dembow. Vee also loves to teach pure Reggaeton classes with songs from her favourite artists, like Daddy Yankee and J Balvin. Learn new dance moves, loosen your mind and tone your body.

PILATES

Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. Pilates moves tend to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well.
This is a great class for everybody.
Moves can be modified to suit the participant.

Why do I love Zumba? Lots of reasons…
Linda at Bronte Fitness and her team of Zumba instructors are just the best. They make you feel special and part of a group of people coming into their own home rather than part of an impersonal gym. Each Zumba instructor has their own style and quirkiness which adds to the variety and enjoyment.
I love the music, the energy, the fun and in some ways you dont even know you are doing exercise even though you are sweating and feeling the burn in your calves.

I have been doing Zumba with Linda since it began around 2011 beginning with just 2 participants to 2020 with a packed dance floor.  Socially we have formed such wonderful lasting friendships through whatever life has thrown us providing enduring love and support through thick and thin.  Our ages and backgrounds vary greatly but our thirst for fun binds us together each week for an energetic workout to great music.

Lots of different abilities and fitness levels require no experience to party like being in a night club testing our coordination and memories at times.  Mentally Zumba enhances your mood especially with the scream of a loud woohoo echoed by others, producing a smile to your face such a great stress reliever.

Physically your aerobic fitness and muscle tone benefit with the varied routines that are regularly updated.So no excuses everyone come join the party WOOHOO!

Hi, my name is Carmel Williams and I’m 68 years of age, I have been a member of Bronte Fitness for many years, I have always tried to stay fit and healthy.
I have loved dance since I was a small child and  when Linda told me about Zumba I was one of the first to join the class, around this time my marriage of 23 years broke down and I was very depressed and anxious.
I started the classes and enjoyed it from the very first it enabled me to enjoy dance without any rules, because their is only one and that is to have fun.
Through the time doing Zumba I have forged many friendships with incredible women whom I will cherish forever.
Zumba has hepled me through a very hard time in my life and I feel happier healthier and more confident than ever.
